“THE ONLY THING WORSE THAN BEING BLIND IS HAVING SIGHT BUT NO VISION.”
That is only half the story. Sight can impede vision, and blindness can cast vision into focus with stunning clarity. I know firsthand. I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa—a degenerative, blinding disease— at age 13, and for the next dozen years I slowly lost my sight.
But not my vision. My vision—born of blindness—is both powerful and empowering.
Going blind was the genesis of a new vision for me, one rich with insight and beauty. The gradual deterioration of my sight opened my life to the limitless possibilities beyond what I had previously known.
In Eyes Wide Open I'll challenge you to open yourself to greater possibilities by, reimaging your world and redefining your “limitations.” You’ll gain insight into confronting life’s myriad trials, tribulations and tragedies and learn how to build a vibrant life—personally and professionally— full of opportunity and happiness.
"Few people have excelled in as many different ways as Isaac Lidsky has-and few have surmounted such hurdles. He has a fascinating, inspiring story to tell, and many practical, powerful insights to impart. I can't wait to read this book, and I'm sure many people will feel the same way."

"Isaac delivered the Keynote Address at our annual Sales & Technology Conference, addressing 250 of our employees. He deeply impacted every one of them. His presentation was inspiring and energizing, full of lessons to improve both our professional performance and our personal lives."
Vice President of Sales and Strategic Relationships
Corporation Service Company
As Inc. recently reported, “Isaac Lidsky may possess the most eclectic resume in business. Over the years, he has been a child television star [(he played series regular “Weasel” on NBC’s “Saved By The Bell: The New Class”)], a Supreme Court clerk [(for Justices Sandra Day O’Connor and Ruth Bader Ginsburg)], and the co-founder of an internet startup. More recently, Lidsky has used his gift for logistics to build ODC Construction into one of the fastest-growing construction businesses,” transforming an unsophisticated $11 million concrete subcontractor that was hemorrhaging money into an industry-leading $150 million construction services company-in 5 years. Inc. Magazine, “The Incredibly Inspiring Journey of a Blind Entrepreneur” October 1, 2015.
The full list of his accomplishments is far longer. Lidsky graduated from Harvard at 19 with an honors degree in mathematics and computer science. He graduated from Harvard Law School magna cum laude. As a U.S. Justice Department lawyer, Lidsky argued more than a dozen appeals in federal court on behalf of the United States and never lost a case. He founded a nonprofit organization to fund the development of treatments for blinding diseases and within 5 years grew it to a dozen cities nationwide and more than $5 million. The technology company he founded sold for $230 million.
Lidsky has been recognized for his achievements dozens of times and his leadership is routinely sought after. He has been appointed to State leadership positions by the Governor of Florida and to a federal position by a U.S. Senator. He sits on the Board of the Florida Hospital For Children. He was named 1 of 4 Temple Bar Scholars by the United Kingdom’s Inns of Court and brought to London for a month-long idea exchange with UK Supreme Court Justices and leading barristers.
In 2012 Lidsky was invited to join the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), the world’s premier peer network of chief executives and business leaders. He did so, and was soon tapped to lead the Orlando Chapter, then asked to serve on the Regional Executive Committee for the Southeast U.S. and Caribbean.
Perhaps most striking, Lidsky is only 36, and he is blind. Born with Retinitis Pigmentosa, a rare degenerative disease of the retina, from age 12 to 25 he slowly lost his sight. As his bio makes clear, neither his youth nor his blindness have limited him, however.
Lidsky has been featured in numerous national platforms including 60 Minutes, People Magazine, CNN, MSNBC, U.S. News & World Report, and the National Law Journal. He is regularly asked by the media to provide his commentary on the construction industry, leadership and/or entrepreneurship. Invariably, his story shines through his commentary, and with his story, great inspiration. For more information, email firstname.lastname@example.org or call (407) 605-2316.

"I wholeheartedly endorse Isaac Lidsky. My company holds an annual conference every year, and we always bring in a top speaker. We have had Navy Seals, Sports Icons and best-selling authors like John Gordon. None was as well received or as effective as Isaac. I received an overwhelming amount of encouraging comments from my team following his talk. Our Post-Conference survey ranked it the most beneficial part of our entire event, and our event was hosted by, and included work with, The Disney Institute. After his Keynote, I expect our best year yet."
"We are very sensitive to how sponsored speakers reflect upon our brands. We've never had one do it better than Isaac Lidsky! Numerous attendees thanked us for finding him and several requested a recording of his talk. He gets a 'standing ovation' from us for meeting our objectives, just like the standing ovation he got from the entire audience."
